Taking snaps

I miss hearing that sound only my camera makes.
I miss the giddy feeling of taking a photo, and then reviewing them later on -
To see if the photos have captured the beauty of the moment - place and all.

Seems like I have no time or energy to do all these which I have taken for granted many years ago.
But one day I am sure I will have the time and energy to these things again! I am looking forward to that - whenever that would be!

For now, my old one is gathering dust (layers of it!) but there are more important things needing my time and energy - the little one and the big one!

My Special Place

There are places a person visits (even just once in their lifetime), but the memory lives forever.

My special place is Fraser Island.

A bit of trivia on this island located in Australia:

• The largest sand island in the world


• The only place in the world where tall rainforest grows on sand dunes at elevations over 200 metres


• The island has over 100 freshwater lakes


• Lake Mackenzie, one of the prettiest and most famous lakes on the island has a PH level great for one's skin

Is there any better location to be billeted at in Singapore, than the Intercontinental Hotel? It's location you can say is either a few metres to the Bugis, or located within the same building as the Bugis Shopping centre. You can also stroll to Suntec City, walk around the block to explore different dining options. Should you wish to enjoy the wonderful Intercontinental there are 6 dining options available within the hotel.


Staying at the shophouse room would definitely give the traveller a good feel of Singapore's heritage. In olden days, shophouses are common abode of the busy merchant. Should you prefer to stay at another room category, I am sure the same service and quality is provided for.

Really, Intercontintal has added a few intimate details to one's IC experience.

Once you've tried the Intercontinental brand, one would surely look and expect the same attention when staying at any other property.

Showbizzarre

What I don't often share about myself is that I like reading showbiz scoops! Oftentimes it is looking at their outfits, if not looking at their fabulous and over the top mansions. I guess it removes me from my reality and live in that glitzy world - even for a few minutes!

We all have that "go-to" thing or activity to escape our real life troubles. I sure know what mine is!! And tonight I am doing just that!

One road too many

Sometimes life has a very strange way of presenting itself. At one point I had no option, no choice whatsoever. Then one year forward, I have one, two, too many options at hand. I am not complaining, at all. It just makes decision making more interesting and more challenging. I realise that when life presents too many fork roads ahead it is a test about priorities. Both roads will eventually lead to my goal anyway. It's a matter of weighing what matters to me now.

Two many options? .. Go back to the basics.

Heavy duty juicer

... that's all I want for Christmas (or, maybe, umm, one of the things I've been soooo wanting to get for a while now). I know I can choose to settle for a cheap no brand (or not so good brand) juicer. But I would really like something that would last us a long while without having any head aches - as I intend to put it to full good use. I've been drooling and dreaming of juice concoctions that I will come up with!

Hopefully hubby will ask me first what juicer I want as there are a dozen different types, kinds of juicers out there. Here is the winner for me....... a hefty $500 Breville machine :) The Juice Fountain Crush.

Seriously

Seriously in need of a holiday. And I don't mean just any other break. I mean a long, serious holiday back home (and lots of sidetrips of course!). Last time I was in Manila was 2.5 years ago (Jan 2011) - and I am feeling burned out again. Emotionally more than physically. I remember telling myself when I went home in 2007 that I should go home at least every 1 to 1.5 years because my soul needs it more than anything - just to recharge myself with the strong facade I have to put up here... but I haven't been. Aside from the deep fact that we are still itching to go home temporarily on a long holiday (but due to responsibilities here this is unrealistic for another year at least).
