Some thoughts I write won't matter to you. If it does. It won't matter to you as much as it matters to me. C'est la vie.

Mobile phones and Me
All Christmassy
I'm so glad I have a few family members here with me at this time of the year! It will be their first Christmas away from Manila and initially we had a discussion whether to spend Christmas Eve dinner at a hotel near our place. We opted to just celebrate at home and invite a few other people. So now my sister and I are busy preparing the Christmas dinner menu! We've got about 3 appetizers, 12 main dishes(!) and 5 desserts. Not bad for a dinner of 15 people. :) We've been shopping everyday for little things and trinkets... tinsels, candy canes, tissue holders, tablecloths, etc. We're even figuring out where to place the food, which table to use for the desserts, the music to play.... The list goes on and on..

Traveling back
Once, before hubby and I got married, I wanted to go on a short trip away. Just me. I guess I wasn't that much of a risk taker, because I didn't pursue that. It was all just in my head to travel on my own. I am thinking out loud now and asking myself if my daughter when she turns 18 if I would allow her to travel on her own, or even go on a working holiday overseas ... if I should let her? I guess I wouldn't really have much of a choice though. If I keep her back she'd miss out on big experiences in life that would mold her into her future self.
Should I have just gone and travelled back then? Maybe.

December thinking
Oh exciting times! I wonder how my parents are taking all these, in less than three years they will have had: three grandchildren, three daughters marrying! I suppose these are all good news so nothing to be sad about! Just possibly shockingly exciting events!

Missing my grams
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.
My grandma is not as mobile as she used to be, and as much as I wish I could be there to wheel her around the mall or even just keep her company every so often, I can’t. I am glad though that she has a caregiver with her to assist her with all her needs. I know how tough and challenging it can be to work as a caregiver since I have close friends in Sydney who works as one. They tell me that sometimes there are issues with the equipments they use on their patients which just makes their job more difficult because of faulty fittings, etc. An NMEDA qualified dealer would have been able to assist, since they are able to conduct on-site assessment to custom fit motor vehicles to suit individual needs. Come to think of it, everyone would need certain things which other people may not have a need for. This goes the same for the equipments and vehicles used by disabled people.
Perhaps if my grandma was slightly younger and stronger, she would have been able to benefit from NMEDA dealers’ assistance on her car requirements that way she can visit the shopping center more often! Okay, now I really wish I was back in Manila!

The gift
My husband’s birthday just came up and I totally forgot to give him a present. I told myself that I’d give him a late birthday present that would really take him aback. He recently got himself a new car that I too am enjoying. I decided that I wanted to give him something that would tie up with that purchase. He’s recently been sprucing his car with this and that so I think I will then just stick to that. Over the past few weeks I’ve been looking for what gift to actually give him and finally found what he actually might really enjoy. Car accessories are really the way to a man’s heart. The bigger they are, the better. I’m currently stuck in a rut though choosing among the variety of custom wheels and rims there are available. I really have no idea what they’re all about, but heck, I’m not the one who I’m trying to please, right? If I were to choose though, I’d get the yellow ones just because they’re cute, and yellow is a happy color.
I’m sure that I’d end up just letting him choose among the many kinds that they have. And I am pretty sure my husband will forgive me for forgetting to give him a present, because this one rocks!
